The Information Technology infrastructure at Electro Wire, Inc. is based on a highly reliable
UNIX environment, running Oracle applications and database software. The investment in these robust technologies
allows us to offer our trading partners a wide variety of both traditional EDI and B2B
transactions for streamlining the order management process.
EDI is the most commonly used platform when a fully automated electronic relationship
needs to be established, since it offers standardized messages for communicating order status between trading partners;
however, similar levels of automation can be reached using other technologies, such as the Internet. The following
example illustrates a typical EDI order flow with one of our customers:
